The main mission of ninjas is information gathering.
Ninjas disguised themselves in various ways for information gathering.

When infiltrating enemy territory to collect information, they sometimes disguised themselves as weak beings such as old people or beggars.

Mission 2: Information Gathering (Battlefield)

Information gathering was also done on the battlefield.

It was essential to grasp the enemy’s movements and situation in order to make a strategy.

• The number of enemy troops coming
• The names of the warlords participating in the battle
• The location of the camp
• How much food is available
• How is the logistics

By conveying this information to their allies, they could gain an advantage in the battle.

Mission 3: Attack on Enemy Castle

This is a mission that utilizes the ninjas’ infiltration and combat abilities.

• They infiltrated the enemy’s castle and spread rumors to lower the enemy’s morale.
• They caused confusion in the castle.
• They sabotaged the castle by setting fire to it.

These operations were carried out to create a situation where their allies could easily attack.

Mission 4: Rear Disruption

This was a strategy that regular troops also carried out, such as attacking the enemy’s rear or logistics during a war, but ninjas also carried out these operations in groups.

This had the effect of confusing and disturbing the enemy troops.
They could also weaken the enemy’s fighting power by stealing or destroying the enemy’s supplies, such as food and weapons.

Mission 5: Kunoichi

Female ninjas are called “kunoichi”.
This is because when you break up the kanji character for “woman”, it becomes kunoichi.
In entertainment, kunoichi sometimes wear ninja outfits and exude a seductive aura.
However, their actual image is very different from what you might imagine.
Their main mission was to infiltrate as maids who worked in the enemy’s mansion.

They did not wear ninja outfits like in entertainment.
